Minnesota Farmers Planting Corn

Minnesota farmers nearly finished planting corn last week, and soybean planting is not far behind.
A week ago, soybean planting was at 28 percent complete, but today it is at 52 percent. Corn is over 90 percent complete, up from 81 percent the week before.
Planting was halted for awhile when land was too damp and weather was too cold. This put a strain on farmers who plant barley, canola, spring wheat, sugar beets and sunflowers. These crops are still very far behind on planting.
Last week 4.8 days were suitable for working, this is a great improvement.
