OFB Receives Six Awards at Annual Convention


The Oregon Farm Bureau received five national Awards for Excellence and a President’s Award at the 2011 American Farm Bureau National Convention in Atlanta.
The awards are given to State Farm Bureaus that have superior membership achievement and offer outstanding programs to participants.
The Oregon Farm Bureau was honored with awards in all five categories including:
• Policy Implementation (and a President’s Award)
• Agriculture Education & Promotion
• Leadership Development
• Member Services
• Public Relations & Information

“Our members, volunteer leaders, and grassroots structure are the heart and soul of Oregon Farm Bureau,” said OFB Executive Vice President Dave Dillon via press release. “As staff at the state office, it is our privilege to offer exceptional leadership development programs, provide opportunities for farmers and ranchers to meet with state and national legislators, give members the tools they need to promote agriculture to the general public, and supply them with a variety of valuable membership benefit programs.”
The OFB reports a membership growth from 56,913 in 2009 to 58,958 in 2010.
