Crop Numbers to be Revised

The USDA is re-evaluating its estimate for this season’s crops.
The numbers for barley, oats, durum wheat and spring wheat will be effected. To date there are many acres in Minnesota, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming that sit unharvested because of poor weather.
The numbers, that originally were to appear in September 30’s report, will be reflected in the USDA’s November 10 report.
The USDA was estimating an abnormally large wheat crop. Although this has been true so far, a number of farmers are unhappy with the quality.
