$800 Million in Loans Sought – New Frontier Bank

Congress approved a boost in Farm Service Agency loans as part of    an emergency appropriations bill as requested by two senators.
The money will go to farmers across the nation and will total around $800 million.
The bill is inspired by farmers who were left in a crisis after the closure of New Frontier Bank.
The senators also persuaded USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack to move funding from different loan programs to this one to make money available to any farmers who qualify.
