Friends of the Fair Looking for Eager Ag Students

Solano County (California) students pursuing a college degree in an agriculture or agriculture-related field can apply for a variety of scholarships through the Friends of the Fair Scholarship foundation.
Seven scholarships totaling $13,500 is available through the Dixon May Fair Scholarships funds. These scholarships are intended for students enrolled in a four-year accredited college, university or community college in California.
Students must apply for the Dixon May Fair Scholarships by March 1, 2011 at 5 p.m.
The Ester Armstrong Memorial Scholarship is also available for students studying agriculture. Three $2,000, one $1,500 and three $1,000 scholarships are available. These will be handed out to students based on personal, civic and academic performance. It is most desired that these students (though not required) participate in 4-H or FFA.
Students must provide transcripts proving a 2.0 GPA and two letters or recommendation. One letter must be form a professional educator.
